The General Data Protection Regulation has been given the abbreviation GDPR, and applies throughout the EU. The main purpose is to create greater transparency around what information is stored about each individual and additionally give everyone an opportunity to get this information deleted.

Personal information in EcoOnline
Personal information is information that can be linked to you as an individual. As EcoOnline operates in a business to business market, the amount of personal information we store is limited. In most cases, only your name, email and phone number are stored. The purpose of personal information at EcoOnline is primarily to manage the customer relationship you have with us on behalf of the business you are working for or the organization you represent.
Some of our products do however require that additional information is stored. This is in order to fulfill legal requirements set out in general regulations, such as the requirement to store information about employees exposed to particularly hazardous chemicals.
Some personal information, such as email and name, is also used for customer service and marketing purposes.

EcoOnline only collects the personal information we need to offer you the services or products you have requested, as well as to fulfill legal requirements. We only share your personal information if the law requires it or you have given your permission.

When you visit our website, we log information about your visit. The information is collected passively and stored in cookies, which are small text files that are stored on your hard drive. It can not be used to identify you.

This information is used to maintain and improve quality, as well as provide general statistics regarding use of our website. The information is only processed by EcoOnline and will not be passed on to third parties.
We only collect personal information from our website that you provide us with. An example of such information can be an email address that you specify if you want to subscribe to our newsletter.
We handle such information in a secure environment, and abide by the Norwegian Personal Data Act.
