Collection and use of personal information
EcoOnlines website only collects information which you choose to give us. An example of the type of information we may collect is the email you provide to us when subscribing to our Newsletter.
We handle such information in a secure environment, and abide by the Norwegian Personal Data Act
We also collect user information from email communications.
None of the data we collect is redistributed in any way outside of EcoOnline.
Disclosure and Removal of Personal Information
You have the right to know what type of information we collect and request that your personal information be deleted from our records.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – The EU’s new privacy regulation
As of May 25 2018, new regulations for the handling of personal data will come into force. The General Data Protection Regulation has been given the abbreviation GDPR, and will apply throughout the EU. The main purpose is to create greater transparency around what information is stored about each individual and additionally give everyone an opportunity to get this information deleted.
EcoOnline already has strict practices for complying with today’s legislation, which means the changes after GDPR remain the same even after GDPR is adopted.
For you as an individual the biggest difference will be your right to access and extract personal information. With GDPR you will have:
– the ability to request access, rectify and restrict processing of your personal information
– the ability to erase them where possible
– the right to receive a copy of your personal information
– the right to know what personal information we have about you and how it is being used
Personal information in EcoOnline
Personal information is information that can be linked to you as an individual. As EcoOnline operates in a business to business market, the amount of personal information we store is limited. In most cases, only your name, email and phone number are stored. The purpose of personal information at EcoOnline is primarily to manage the customer relationship you have with us on behalf of the business you are working for or the organization you represent.
Some of our products do however require that additional information is stored. This is in order to fulfill legal requirements set out in general regulations, such as the requirement to store information about employees exposed to particularly hazardous chemicals.
Some personal information, such as email and name, is also used for customer service and marketing purposes.
It is important for us to protect your personal information
EcoOnline only collects the personal information we need to offer you the services or products you have requested, as well as to fulfill legal requirements. We only share your personal information if the law requires it or you have given your permission.
